Long Shot Productions ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the TechLynk platform ("Platform") at techlynk.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use the Platform.

By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and governed by our Terms of Service.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Information You Provide

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you register and use the Platform.

From all users:

  • Name, email address, and account credentials
  • Geographic location (city, state, or ZIP code)
  • Communication preferences

From Technicians additionally:

  • Professional certifications and credential documents
  • Employment and work history
  • Technical skills and specializations
  • Compensation expectations
  • Shift and schedule preferences
  • Culture and workplace preferences
  • Career goals and retention signals

From Dealers additionally:

  • Business name, address, and contact information
  • Dealership type, size, and OEM affiliations
  • Open role descriptions and requirements
  • Compensation ranges offered
  • Shop culture and environment information
  • Billing and payment information (processed by our payment processor)

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Platform, we automatically collect:

  • IP address and device identifiers
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and features used
  • Session duration and interaction patterns
  • Referring URLs

This information is collected via cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies. See Section 7 for cookie controls.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive limited information from third-party services used in operating the Platform, such as authentication providers and payment processors. We do not purchase or receive personal data from data brokers.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

2.1 Platform Operation

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Generate Compatibility Scores and match recommendations
  • Display your profile or role postings to relevant counterparties
  • Facilitate messaging between matched Technicians and Dealers
  • Process Dealer subscription payments
  • Send transactional and account-related communications

2.2 Platform Improvement

We use aggregated and de-identified data to:

  • Improve the accuracy and fairness of the Compatibility Scoring model
  • Identify and fix bugs and usability issues
  • Develop new features and services

2.3 Legal and Safety

We use information as necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including FCRA obligations
  • Respond to legal process, court orders, or government requests
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • Enforce our Terms of Service

2.4 Communications

We may send you platform updates, feature announcements, and relevant industry information. You may opt out of non-transactional communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting privacy@techlynk.ai.

3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

3.1 With Other Platform Users

Technician profile data — including skills, certifications, experience, and Compatibility Scores — is shared with Dealer subscribers for the purpose of evaluating candidates for open roles. Technician contact information is not shared until mutual opt-in is confirmed.

Dealer role postings and organizational information are visible to Technician users for the purpose of evaluating potential matches.

3.2 With Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, including:

  • Cloud infrastructure and database hosting (Supabase)
  • Deployment and performance services (Vercel)
  • Transactional email delivery (Resend)
  • Payment processing (Stripe)
  • AI inference services (Anthropic)

These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

3.3 Business Transfers

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.

3.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or the public.

3.5 What We Do Not Do

We do not:

  • Sell your personal information to third parties
  • Share your information with advertisers
  • Use your information for targeted advertising on third-party platforms

4. FCRA-SPECIFIC DATA PRACTICES

4.1 Data Sources

Compatibility Scores are generated exclusively from information you voluntarily provide on the Platform. We do not incorporate data from credit bureaus, background check databases, or other third-party consumer data sources into Compatibility Scores.

4.2 Score Transparency

Technicians may access a dimension-level explanation of their Compatibility Score at any time through their account. This transparency is provided to support your rights under applicable law and to ensure you understand how your profile data is being used.

4.3 Data Correction

If you believe that information used in generating your Compatibility Score is inaccurate, you may submit a correction request to privacy@techlynk.ai. We will review and respond within 30 days.

4.4 Dealer Obligations

Dealers who use Platform data in employment decisions are independently responsible for their FCRA compliance obligations. The Company provides score documentation to support Dealer compliance upon request but does not serve as a Consumer Reporting Agency.

5. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

6.1 Access and Correction

You may access and update most of your personal information through your account settings. For information not accessible through settings, contact privacy@techlynk.ai.

6.2 Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting support@techlynk.ai. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements described in Section 5.

6.3 Passive Mode (Technicians)

Technicians may activate Passive Mode to reduce their profile's visibility to Dealers while retaining their data and account. Passive Mode does not constitute account deletion.

6.4 Portability

You may request a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format by contacting privacy@techlynk.ai.

6.5 Opt-Out of Non-Essential Communications

You may opt out of non-transactional email communications at any time via the unsubscribe mechanism in any email or by contacting privacy@techlynk.ai.

6.6 Connecticut Privacy Rights

As a Connecticut-based company, we comply with the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA). Connecticut residents have the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal data, and to opt out of certain processing activities. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@techlynk.ai. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.

7. COOKIES AND TRACKING

The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain session state, remember your preferences, and analyze usage patterns.

You may control cookie settings through your browser preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or share cookie data with advertising networks.

8. DATA SECURITY

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS)
  • Database-level row security policies restricting data access to authorized users
  • Private storage buckets for certification documents with access controls
  • Role-based access controls for administrative functions
  • Regular security monitoring and logging

No security system is impenetrable. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will delete it promptly. Contact privacy@techlynk.ai if you believe a minor has provided us with personal information.

10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to your registered address at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
